Terms of Service: Three (3) years contract
Salary: Job Group K
Salary Scale: Ksh. 35,400 x 1,600 – 37,000 x 1,660 – 38,660 x 1,750 – 40,410 x 1,850 42,260 x 1,930 – 44,190 x 2,040 – 46,230 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination of environment activities at sub county level
  • Implement and evaluation of departmental plans, programmes at the sub county level
  • Represent the Environment department in all sub-county forums
  • Ensure public participation in Government service delivery
  • Collect grass root information on environment, natural resources and agroforestry programs and service delivery and convey to senior officers for policy formulation
  • Supervise the environment, natural resources and agroforestry programs and services in the sub-county
  • Compile regular reports and update
  • Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Be a Kenyan citizen
  • Environmental science/ Conservation and Natural Resource Management / Forestry or any other relevant discipline from a recognized institution
  • Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution
  • Knowledge and experience of environmental issues affecting Makueni County
  • Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010
