Sheer Logic Management Consultants is seeking to engage a dynamic and experienced individual for the position of Tax Executive

Key Result Areas (Role and Responsibilities) (KRAs)

• Review of declaration/ payment of VAT on imports.
• Prepare various returns, i.e. VAT, WHT, Excise, WH VAT and WH on rent; with detailed supporting schedules and documentation
• File returns
• Tax Reconciliation
• Ensure compliance of various compliance trackers. e.g. ICOFR, ONESOURCE tax compliance system.
• Analyze Tax accounts, by the 20th of every month to ensure all invalid items are cleared in a timely manner.
• Provide all tax requests from various departments. Any other duties as may be assigned by the manager

Key Performance Standards (Key Performance Indicators– KPIs)

• Timely/accurate submission of Tax Returns.
• Timely invoice approval
• Nil tax loss on time barred invoices
• Nil penalty/Interest on late return filing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance Option)
• Certified Public Accountant (Kenya) or equivalent

Personal Skills & Qualities

• Good analytical skills
• Conversant with Kenyan Tax Laws
• Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines without compromising on quality of work
• Good interpersonal skills
