Job Title: Automation Manager

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Responsibilities

  • Roll out the existing fuel automation systems across our network whilst our brand is rapidly expanding its stations’ network.
  • Seek new ways of working and introduce enhanced business solutions which enable us to monitor and reduce the fuel losses at its stations as a % of sales.
  • Ensure flawless execution of our payment card offerings to fleet customers.
  • Ensure successful transition to electric charging of vehicles at stations and setting up of EV chargers, payment and integration with our store and restaurant business etc. across our fuel station network in Africa
  • Develop, facilitate, and implement online promotions to enhance our fuel and other retailing services whilst contributing towards positioning our stations for e-commerce.
  • Contribute towards expanding the brand’s geographical footprint to the Southern countries of Africa including South Africa.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree in or a similar field Physics, Engineering, Mathematics or Science preferred.
  • The ideal candidate has 7+ years of working experience in a top tier business consulting firm and/or Automation solution providers, process flow and/or IT automation environment.
  • Excellent PC skills including proficiency using Microsoft Suite as well as various audiovisual equipment and virtual meeting platforms
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, as necessary. Willingness to travel to East & Southern Africa
  • Demonstrated capability to assess operational process flow and to introduce solutions from a commercial business point of view to enhance customer satisfaction and/reduce the cost of serving customers.
  • Proven track record in project management skills whilst managing 3rd parties in delivering the technical solutions and projects on time and within budget. Demonstrating the ability to change leadership styles to get the required results from his/her colleagues and service providers.
