Job Description

 Our client is a leading multinational pharmaceutical manufacturer and the world’s leading provider of healthcare solutions today. They specialize in different product groups ranging from Dialysis, Surgical instrumentation, Clinical Nutrition, Stoma Care, Infection Prevention, Anesthesia and Intensive Care products among others. They recently acquired a plant in Kenya and are seeking to fill the position of a Quality Control Microbiology Analyst.

The analyst will be involved in activities related to microbiology analysis for starting materials and finished products.

 Responsibilities

• Observation of laboratory safety.
• Receipt, quarantine and release of raw materials, packaging materials and finished pharmaceutical products.
• Sampling and analysis of raw materials, packaging materials, in process samples and finished pharmaceutical product samples.
• Documentation of all laboratory activities and results.
• Review of Laboratory out-of-specifications (OOS) and failure investigations.
• Generation of operating and testing procedures.
• Qualification, operation, maintenance, calibration and performance monitoring of lab equipment and instruments.
• Verification and validation of microbiological test procedures
• Stability studies for finished pharmaceutical products.
• Disinfectant – evaluation and monitoring.
• Environmental monitoring.
• Sterilizing of production garments.
• Media preparation and handling of reference organisms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or Biotechnology.
• 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Good understanding of GLP & GMP
