Responsibilities

• Coordinating all public relations related activities.
• Publication of Assembly magazines, brochures, hand books, flyers, news and storage of bulletin CDs.
• Updating of County Assembly Website in liaison with ICT.
• Coordinating outreach programmes
• Coordinating and acting liaison to visitors in the County Assembly.
• Issuing of speaker’s press releases as and when necessary and handling of media reports/stories and
• be proactive in media reporting through the available channels.
• Coordinating with County Assembly broadcast unit on broad cast/media aspects.
• Convening public relations and media related meetings and chairing the sessions while ensuring all minutes are taken and filed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations or any other relevant field from a recognized university.
• Served satisfactorily as a Public Communications/Media relations officer II for a minimum period of three (3) years or its equivalent in a reputable organization.
• Senior Management Course from a recognized institution is an added advantage.
• Be competent in use of IT as a working tool.
• Meet requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
