We are pleased to announce the following vacancy in the Business Assurance department within the Corporate Security division. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.
Reporting to the Head of Department; Business Assurance, the individual serves to provide independent and reliable assurance to the business on Core, Transport and Access networks quality of service to ensure achievement and sustainability of superior network experience for GSM services (Voice, Data, SMS), Enterprise services, Financial Services, VAS and Internal IT Services.
Daily Network performance monitoring & Reporting for all services including key indicators such as Call success rate, Paging success rate, Drop calls and any other network quality KPIs
Daily monitoring of service availability on key internal systems
Formulate, coordinate and drive plans geared towards achievement and sustainability of superior Core, Transport & Access Network Experience.
Lead Network integrity drive tests to ensure achievement of customer and revenue KPI’s.
Champion network quality tests which include but not limited to accessibility, sustainability, and mobility tests on different network elements and relate the same to NPS and potential revenue exposures
Detect, investigate, document and follow up until resolution all quality of service issues from the tests carried out.
Benchmarking tests to ensure superior Network experience across the country
Quantify and report impact on customer experience and revenues arising due to Network/services/systems outages and/or performance degradation.
Management of Customer Complaints via investigative drive tests and escalations to the Technical teams for speedy resolution
Oversee key systems and network changes/upgrades made to ensure customer experience and revenues are not negatively affected
Ensure attendance and approval of CAB any changes affecting customer experience or revenue.
Reporting to network engineering team on all anomalies affecting general network service performance and revenues for rectification.
Ensuring new technologies integration and products are performing as per perceived plans and analysis on revenue streams.
Evaluate and advise on opportunity areas for optimization of critical network systems and improve network performance.
Provide assurance on compliance returns to CA on Network Redundancy , Resilience and Diversity (NRRD) framework for VAS systems
Bachelor’s Degree in Telecom engineering /electrical& electronics engineering/IT or similar discipline from a recognized university
Demonstratable leadership skills will be an added advantage
Minimum of 6 years working experience in a GSM environment in a similar role.
Good working knowledge in network performance management and understanding of network measurement gathering and analysis.
Good working knowledge of GSM & UMTS Planning, Operations & Maintenance, IP Planning and Operational practices.
Ability to analyze significant amounts of data and information and be able to monitor and explain trends and variances as well as querying of relational databases.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and multiple simultaneous projects.
Good understanding of regulatory framework for mobile operations particularly in the Kenyan environment.
Attention to detail with excellent interpersonal and communications skills
