 Pursuant to the Constitution of Kenya 2010 (Article 185(2), 186(1) and 187(2) on distribution of functions between the National Government and County Government and the County Government Act No. 17 of 2012. The Narok County Public Service Board invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position in the Narok County Government.

SENIOR ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF MEDICAL SERVICES/ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON I. JOB GROUP ‘’Q’’ ONE (1) POST

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable

SALARY SCALE: CPSB 04:    Ksh. 99,900 x 5,010 – 104,910 x 5,240 – 110,150 x 5,500 – 115,650 x

5,780 – 121,430 x 6,070 – 127,500 x 6,370 – 133,870 p.m.

Duties and responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:undertaking General diagnosis,care, treatment and   rehabilitation of patient of patient ;carring out specialized clinical care ;providing psycho-social intervention ;providing clinical services to patient ; training,consulting and performing surgeries in various health Facilities ;carring out forensic and medical-legal services ;coordinating disease surveillance,prevetion,and control ;coordinating health education and promotion ;implementing health Project and programmes ; maintaining up to date health information systems ;monitoring provision of health treatment and care ;undertaking health research ; and analyzing medical report.

Qualifications

For the appointment to this grade, an officer must have-

• Served as an Assistance Director of Medical services/medical specialist II for a minimum period of three (3) years ;
• Bachelor’s of Medicine and Bachelor of surgery (M.B.CH. B) Degree from an institutions recognized by Medical practitioners and Dentist Board
• Masters Degree in Orthopedic surgery
• Certificate in Strategic Leadership and Management Development lasting for at least six (6) weeks from a recognized institution.
• Certificate of Registration by the Medical practitioners and Dentist Board ;
• Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution
