Duties and Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the affairs of the Municipality
  • Developing and adopting Policies, plans strategies and programmes;
  • Formulating and implementing an integrated Municipal Development plans;
  • Maintaining a comprehensive database and information system of the administration and providing public access.
  • Ensuring preparation of workshops, Budgets and policies
  • Shall be the Secretary to the Municipal Board

Requirements for Appointment

  • Must be a Kenyan
  • has a degree from an institution recognized in Kenya;
  • Must be a Certified Public Secretary in good professional standing;
  • has at least four years’ experience in management; and
  • Satisfies the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution

  • Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce their original identity cards, academic and professional certificates and testimonials.
  • For candidates to meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, applicants must obtain the following clearances:
  • Tax compliance certificate from KRA
  • Clearance certificate from HELB
  • Clearance certificate from Ethics and Anticorruption Commission (EACC)
  • Certificate of good conduct from Criminal Investigation Department
