Position: Medical Laboratory Technologist III

Location: Nairobi

Posts: One Hundred and Sixteen (116) Positions

Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 25,470 – Ksh. 33,950 p.m. (CSG 12)

House Allowance: Ksh.6, 750 p.m

Commuter Allowance: Ksh.4, 000p.m

Leave allowance: As existing in the Civil Service

Annual Leave: 30 working days per financial year

Medical Cover: As provided by the government

Terms of Service: Three (3) years contract

Qualifications

  • a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C (plain) or its equivalent qualification with at least C in Biology or Biological Sciences, Chemistry or Physical Science, English or Kiswahili and C in Mathematics or Physics;
  • a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences from a recognized institution; and
  • been registered by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board; and
  • a Valid Practising license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board;

Responsibilities

An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a more senior officer.

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include offering general diagnostic or other laboratory services in a Medical Laboratory, blood transfusion services or Division of Vector Borne Diseases.
