Our client is one of the leading provider of virtual support services in East Africa and Europe. They seek to hire an experienced, competent HR Officer who will be tasked with supporting the Human resource function in alignment with the corporate objectives of the organization. The holder of this role could be working with one or several clients in Kenya and occasionally in other regions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the recruitment and placement of new staff as required and conduct staff orientation.
  • Build and maintain a positive organizational culture across the organization.
  • Prepare and issue Job Descriptions and employment contracts.
  • Payroll administration in conjunction with the Finance
  • Coordinate the implementation of employee welfare.
  • Prepare termly and annual training plans and ensure trainings are conducted.
  • Prepare and manage staff Performance Management
  • Periodically review KPIs at various levels.
  • Develop and execute talent management plans
  • Ensure the organization’s HR policies are compliant with legal and local labor laws.
  • Ensure that the HR is well aligned with the overall strategic goals of the organization
  • Ensures staff files, employment contracts, job descriptions, and all other individual staff documentation are kept up to date.
  • Day-to-day management of departmental staff to ensure delivery of assignments, tasks ongoing development feedback and management of departmental operations.
  • Carrying out HR Capacity reviews and advising the management on emerging needs to align or restructure the teams in order to be more aligned with emerging needs.

Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in Human Resource or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in similar capacity
  • Must be a member of a IHRM or other relevant professional body.
  • Experience in managing teams remotely
  • Experience in using remote communication and collaboration tools like Trello, Slack, Google Docs, Zoom and others.
  • Must demonstrate experience in recruitment and selection.
  • Must demonstrate people management skills.
  • Must demonstrate experience in employees’ performance management.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
