Division: Regional Coordination Office
Job Purpose
This role is responsible for providing oversight to all KRA Revenue Collection and Administrative activities within the region.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage support functions within the region to achieve overall KRA Objectives.
- Drive initiatives to improve ethics, culture and facilitate change management in the Region.
- Facilitate Implementation of the work plans for following up corporate initiatives in the region: Audit, Integrity, and Quality Management System. and Risk Management.
- Support ease of doing business initiatives through review of process and effective deployment of staff in key critical areas to facilitate trade.
- Support performance management division to implement performance contracts in the region and monthly appraisal and validation for all the staff.
Operational Responsibilities / Tasks
- Day-to-day operations, supervision, management of performance and development of staff in the Region.
- Networking and Stakeholder Engagements with Various Arms of government, county Governments, Border Management Committees, Multi Agencies.
- Coordinate Brand Building Initiatives, Media Engagement, and Customer Complaints Resolution in the Region.
- Coordinate Enforcement Activities in the Region
- Create synergy across the departments and facilitate exchange of tax information to enhance revenue collections and service delivery.
Job Dimensions:
Financial Responsibility
- Monitor and support revenue collection initiatives through identified effective strategies.
- Formulate regional Administrative budgets and submit them for Head Quarters Approval.
- Monitor and control expenditure and approvals within the region.
- Development and Management of regional Work Plan and Budget.
Responsibility for Physical Assets
- Responsible for all Physical Assets in the Region;
- Fleet
- Building and offices
- ICT Infrastructure
- Other equipments

Working Conditions
- Office Setting, Field Activity which involve extensive travel to cover expansive Regional offices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field from a recognized institution.
- Professional qualification(s) in any of the core functional area(s) of the department.
- A minimum of ten (10) years’ working experience in revenue administration, Five (5) years of which must be at senior management level.
