1. JOB DETAILS:
Title: KEY ACCOUNTS MANAGER
Reports to: COUNTRY COMMERCIAL MANAGER
2. JOB PURPOSE:
The Key Account Manager will act as a contact between the client and Kenafric Industries Limited. They attempt to identify and understand the client’s needs and provide solutions. They evaluate and adapt new
strategies to keep up with current business trends. Key account managers may work with a field team or through internal associates to collaborate in the research of current market trends and foreseeing how these may affect their accounts.

Duties & Responsibilities
Build and maintain top notch relationships with Key Account stakeholders including Directors, Head office Teams and managers through constant business engagements
Manage the Key Account channel in a strategic manner in line with Kenafric business strategy for Key Accounts
Develop, execute and manage monthly/quarterly/annual plans in collaboration with accounts tapping from their annual plans calendar
Develop Joint Business Plans with Key Accounts and ensure the full implementation of agreed trading terms and use the JBP elements to explore opportunities for business growth.
Prepare, monitor and ensure the achievement of agreed sales targets through proper planning and forecasting
Develop and propose promotional activities for Key Accounts in line with Business strategy
Create and maintain a database of current and potential clients (Comprising of; Name, Position, Cell Phone number)
Liaising with Area Sales Managers as regards to upcountry Key Account outlet Issues, e.g. stock outs, slow moving stocks,
Submit a weekly report in terms of achievements, issues and key priorities
Drive and manage the execution of the Picture of success in terms of listing, placement and visibility
Manage and coach the merchandising team by outlining clear objectives to ensure that they deliver on all their KPIs
Provide substantial information relating to sales plans and reports
Maintain knowledge of new and existing products, as well as report competitor activities and systems
Identify opportunities to up-sell.2
Organize and lead periodical account reviews.
Education and Training Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, or Marketing (or any business-related course).
Should possess a minimum of 5 years of sales and marketing experience. Preference will be given to those with Key Account management experience.
Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and ability to use databases for recording and reporting.
● The Key Account Manager will usually work during business hours from Monday through Friday. Work often requires local travel, although most of their time is spent listening and speaking to clients in person, via phone or e-mails. Because of this, they may be required to work on weekends and evenings. When not meeting with clients, Key Account Manager will spend their time in a normal office setting.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
A Key Account Manager must be inventive and resourceful, have strong marketing skills and have a good technical background with regard to previous and current trends. He/she must also target- oriented, a team player, schematic, enthusiastic, and ambitious; a good problem-solver and team leader; computer literate; an effective communicator and negotiator; well organized and capable of drawing relevant insights to meet the client’s expectations. Should possess a wide personal network to help in
finding new leads and signing potential clients.
