The HR Manager ensures overall Human Resource and administrative support. He/she also ensures HR is compliant to all statutory and internal regulations for company operations.
Recruitment and Selection
To coordinate and support all aspects of recruitment and selection process of staff.
To write and place recruitment advertisements where and when appropriate.
To ensure a proper and comprehensive induction of all new members of staff
To coach and train all staff in HR dept on best practice and equal opportunities.
Policy, Advice and Employee relations
To keep the Management Team updated on Human resource statutory requirements and ensure that COMPANY status remains within these requirements as far as the human resource and administrative factor is concerned.
Ensure that the overall management of all staff is carried out in accordance with the Employment Act, company Policies and Procedures as well as best practice.
Develop and manage the communication, implementation , monitoring and review of all policies and procedures (i.e. HR, Staff Care , Health & Safety) so as to ensure statutory compliance, harmonization with other comparable agencies and that regulations are fully understood and complied with in all project sites.
To advise, facilitate and participate in employee relations as well as coach staff at all levels on issues related to performance management, disciplinary procedure, grievance procedure with the goal of building knowledge and capacity among staff to improve employee relations and enhance job performance and productivity.
To ensure the smooth and timely dissemination of information and response to queries related to human resource (internally and externally).
Conduct regular field visits to project sites to monitor and review Human Resource and Administrative procedures and assist project staff where appropriate.
To be in charge of all staff welfare matters
To facilitate and ensure exit interviews are conducted and collate and disseminate lessons learnt.
To take the lead on specific projects, e.g. salary reviews, policy and procedures reviews and training & Development needs analysis.
To maintain monthly leave schedules for all staff and ensure compliance with Statutory and internal policies.
To ensure proper personnel files both manually and electronically while maintaining confidentiality.
To be responsible for the preparation of the staff payroll and the timely disbursement of salaries or other emoluments.
To ensure proper maintenance of timesheets for all sites.
To liaise with external parties (i.e. Labour officers etc) on compliance issues related operations.
To provide supervisory support to the HR Team as well as technical support to project sites (which will include site visits).
Bachelor of Commerce degree from a recognized University or a Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management (a combination of both would be an added advantage
Member of IHRM
Previous 8 years HR and management experience within the FMCG industry is desirable
