Duma Works is recruiting a HR executive in Nairobi for one of our clients; The hiring firm specializes in the trade of agricultural commodities in East Africa.

The HR executive should be aware of the labor laws and employment acts. He/she should have experience in the HR other than recruitment and have experience in developing and executing JDS, administration and filing.

HR Executive Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage personnel records and other departmental files.
  • Assist in recruitment process for vacant positions to include job ad placement, interview scheduling, applicant correspondence and reference checks.
  • Assist the manager in recruiting diverse candidates to the applicant pool, and answer any and all questions regarding employment.
  • Assist with new hire processing and ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
  • Manage benefits plan by answering staff questions regarding insurance coverage, enrolling new staff, maintaining accurate participant databases and monitoring and processing monthly premium billings.
  • Manage annual renewal process for all personnel lines of insurance.
  • Assist with new hire processing and ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
  • Respond, in a timely manner, to all employment verification requests and background checks.
  • Prepare new/revised job descriptions in proper format.
  • Maintain job description files.

Qualifications for the HR Executive Job

  • Graduate from a recognized university.
  • Higher Diploma in HRM.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and packages.
  • Over 1 year experience in HR
