Vacancy – Business Development Manager (Marketing)

Our client in manufacturing seeks to hire a Business Development Manager (Marketing). Reporting to the Sales Manager, the BDM will be responsible for spearheading marketing and business development strategies. He/she will ensure that they develop and implement marketing strategies that have ROI. The company is located in Mlolongo Machakos County.

Gross Salary 65,000/= KES

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing strategies, campaigns and digital plans
  • Manage promotions, advertisements, and sales collateral
  • In charge of the implementation of the Go to Market (GTM) strategies
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to meet their requirements
  • Spearhead marketing initiatives, generate demand, and increase brand connection
  • Create link-building strategies, content marketing strategies, and social media presence
  • Innovate and present new marketing platforms and strategies
  • Conduct industry and market research, benchmark where necessary
  • Use research findings to provide direction on projects, products and business strategy
  • In charge of content creation, in-house publications, visual and audio production
  • Manage the department’s budget and ensure all marketing activities are cost-effective
  • Ensure there is ROI on all marketing initiatives
  • Increase brand awareness and visibility
  • Assist in developing, managing and implementing projects
  • Keep abreast with new marketing trends and developments
  • Prepare marketing material and quotations for customers
  • Submit monthly marketing reports
  • Any other duty that may be given to you from time to time

Required Specifications

  • Minimum of a diploma in marketing or sales and marketing
  • CIM qualification is an advantage
  • Experience working with SMEs in the manufacturing industry and in a similar position
  • At least 5 years’ experience with 2 years in a team leader position
  • Experience managing a diverse team of salespersons and stakeholders
  • Successful track record in B2C sales and negotiation and experience in digital marketing
  • A strong customer-oriented focus
  • A strong, resilient, mature and accountable individual
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
