Our client is an African Style Gourmet Burger restaurant with a chain of outlets based in Nairobi. They are looking to hire a competent and qualified HR Training and Business partner with outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. The HR Training & Business Partner is expected to be a strategic thinker with fantastic organizational and time management skills. They will have excellent research skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

To ensure success, the HR Training and Business Partner should understand the business operation and decision-making processes with a keen interest in producing targeted and tangible results by creating an effective and efficient workforce. Top candidates will be innovative, strong decision-makers and outstanding facilitators of learning and change.


  • Provide world class HR services to the business by supporting managers on all aspects of the HR function with an emphasis on taking responsibility and ownership on decisions involving people issues.
  • Participate in the annual HR strategy planning and drive implementation within the assigned timelines.
  • Accountable for strategic execution such as current and planned organization designs, attraction and retention of key talent and creating a high-performance culture within the business.
  • Assist in the review of the HR Policy manual to keep it relevant and up to date.
  • Support management on key aspects such as Job Evaluation, Reward, Employee Relations, Talent Search/Management, Learning and Development, Succession Planning etc.
  • Effectively manage change to ensure all business projects are well implemented and realize the intended benefits.
  • Advising on legislation and other business climate changes that impact the strategic business goals in the HR scope.
  • Managing development and implementation of the Human Resource Plans for the business.
  • Ensure suitable and cost-effective recruitment and retention strategies exist which comply with Company policies and HR related legislation.
  • Managing the end to end on boarding process for new recruits; ensuring best practices are adhered to.
  • Drive brand values and philosophy through all training and development activities.
  • Assess employees’ skills, performance and productivity to identify areas of improvement to train.
  • Develop the appropriate training approaches to facilitate the training as per the recommended industry standards.
  • Keep track of the participant’s learning point during the training.
