Our Client is an upcoming non-deposit taking microfinance institution mainly dealing in logbook loans. They seek to hire a highly motivated business development manager to spearhead business growth and efficiency in resource management. The incumbent will be responsible for business development, people, operations, budgets, projects delivery and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop periodical business plans and operational plans for business growth and profitability targets of the Company.
• Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products in order to better meet customer’s needs.
• Market company products to individuals and firms, promoting bank services that may meet customers’ needs.
• Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Supervise the field sales team to ensure optimal performance.
• Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant. Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
• Perform quality controls and monitor business operations through KPIs & achievable targets.
• Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
• Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Oversee budgeting, M&E, reporting, planning, and auditing.
• Procurement – source for goods & services and ensuring the company gets value for money from all suppliers.
• Recruit, induct, train, supervise and mentor your team for career development.
• Support staff communication with the management team.
• Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations.
• Lead the process of project implementation for specific projects that the organization is running with.
