JOB TITLE: HOUSEKEEPING HEAD

 Overview of the Position

Our client, a boarding school located in Kajiado County is seeking to recruit a skilled Housekeeping Head who will be responsible for supervising, training and working alongside cleaning staff to ensure the premises is in sparklingly clean and in tip-top condition.

Responsibilities

• In-charge of overseeing and directing the cleaning activities for the school.
• Management and effective control of supplies for the department
• Creating staff work schedules for the housekeeping team and effectively managing the same.
• Ensuring effective communication to the team on various activities
• Report any maintenance work to the respective department
• Inform workers about the procedures and policies that have to be followed while cleaning is taking place.
• Ensure safe disposal of all waste.
• Timely requisition of cleaning and other housekeeping supplies and materials, managing all housekeeping inventory.
• Advising the management on appropriate and essential cleaning material and detergents
• Performing any other related duties as required or directed.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Housekeeping or equivalent from a recognized college on the institution.
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods.
• Physical stamina and mobility.
• 5 years in housekeeping experience from a recognized institution
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, a team player, and self-driven.
• Proficiency in Office suite of packages.
